In the Physical Education 12 course, students must practice effective interpersonal skills through group and sport experiences.  They are to apply the concepts of a balanced, healthy lifestyle through participation in physical education.

Students will be exposed to a wide variety of team sports, individual sports, games, activities, and skills.  The student must demonstrate motor skills in all movement categories, participate regularly in a variety of activities, show positive personal and social behavior in team sport, and assess their personal health and level of skill in certain sports.

This course will concentrate in 4 main units: Gymnastics, Fitness Testing, Lacrosse, and Track and Field. 

Each unit will consist of a theory component, a skill testing component, and a participation component. 

PAL is a full credit course which covers subject areas of physical education, human anatomy, and human systems. 

By the end of this course, students are expected to have participated in a variety of different physical activities, to have a sound knowledge base regarding healthful activities, to be able to make choices in activities, and to be on their way to developing personal responsibility for their own health and physical fitness.  

Students are to demonstrate an understanding of the concepts that support human movement as well as demonstrate motor skills in all movement categories using effective body mechanics.
