Film and Video Production 12 provides an introduction and overview of the four phases of filmmaking: Development; Pre-Production; Production and Post-Production. The course combines higher-level thinking skills, artistry and skills in technology to teach the planning and creation of films using electronic media. Students will discover the essence of story, experience the struggle to shape and express ideas in the visual medium, and explore a variety of roles in working with others to produce collaborative works. Students will write scripts, draw storyboards, shoot video, and digitally edit their work using professional quality tools and software. We will also explore the history of film and the film and video industry, both local and abroad.
