2018 Nova Scotia Skills Competition & Career Showcase

Skills Canada – Nova Scotia (SCNS) would like to invite your school to bring a group of students to tour the 2018 Nova Scotia Skills Competition. Online registration is now open. 
 
Dates and Locations:
NSCC Strait Area Campus – March 21, 2018
NSCC Ivany Campus (formerly Waterfront Campus) – April 6, 2018
NSCC Akerley Campus – April 20, 2018

Are you a Grade 12 student in Nova Scotia, who has demonstrated a commitment to the environment?
Divert NS is offering seven scholarships to students who have exemplified leadership in protecting
our environment.
To be awarded one of the scholarship prizes, your entry must include:
• A summary of your recent environmental activities
• A letter of reference from someone in your school or community
• A research essay on the issue of film plastic
• A contact information form (included in this package)
Submissions must be emailed in PDF or Word format to
scholarship@divertns.ca (preferably one PDF document).
Deadline for submissions: April 22, 2018

Exam B and grade 9 Social Studies will be written on Friday Feb 2

There will be no classes on Monday (Feb 5) due to Admin day and no classes on Tuesday Feb 6 due to Staff Professional Day.

Classes for Second semester will start on Wednesday Feb 7 and it will be a Day 4.

Deadline to apply March 1

The 2018 NS Power Mi’kmaq Scholarship Program is now open for applications, with an upcoming deadline of April 27, 2018. Please refer to www.nspower.ca/mikmaq-scholarship for more information and to submit an application.  NS Power also will be mailing an information package with posters and post cards for promotional purposes, please also find attached.
