Mi'kmaq Language 10 is an introduction to reading and writing in Mi'kmaq using the Smith-Francis system of writing (or orthography). The course begins with a review of the Mi'kmaq alphabet, with a concentration of vowels. Also included in this course are grammar units, focusing on blends, preverbs, word roots, new word creation, thematic lists of nouns, events, holidays, animals, food, etc. Verbs and pronouns make up another unit, which involves conjugation/declension of verbs, transitivity, past, present, future tenses, and dialogue practice.
